Marigold Dusk Zari Potli Bag
$68.00
Last one in stock
Marigold Dusk is a hand-crocheted potli bag worked in a deep rust metallic yarn that catches light the way a marigold does at sunset. The body is crocheted in a dense, even stitch so the bag holds its rounded shape, then banded at the waist with a woven zari border embroidered with sequins and small floral motifs. Scalloped gold trim finishes the drawstring opening, gold beads are threaded along the cord, and two full silk tassels — each capped with hand-worked embroidery — swing from the base. Inside, the pouch is lined in soft golden satin so nothing snags, with room for a phone, cardholder, lipstick and keys. Because every round, bead and tassel is placed by hand, small variations are part of the piece; each is made in a very limited quantity.
Please note — Every piece is made entirely by hand, not machine-produced in bulk, so no two are ever identical. Colour, shade and texture can vary slightly from the photographs depending on the yarn available at the time, and small differences in size, stitch and finish are part of a handmade piece rather than a fault.

Reviews
The zari band and the tassels are even richer in person. The silk lining feels expensive and it held my phone, cards and a lipstick easily. Shipping to Bengaluru took five days.

Ordered from Ohio for my daughter's engagement party. The stitching is flawless and the gold beading has not shed a single bead. Packaged like a gift.

Stunning colour — the rust and gold combination photographs beautifully. Only note is that it is a true evening size, so plan accordingly. Still five stars for the work.

Arrived in Melbourne in under two weeks. The drawstring closes neatly and the tassel caps are hand embroidered — you can see the individual stitches.

My mother asked where I found it. That is the highest compliment in our house. Have used it three times already and it still looks new.
